Glendora seized victory in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off home run at the end of the game to topple Alta Loma. The Freshmen were down 6-5 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Chandler Jackson homered on a 1-1 count, scoring three runs.
Glendora earned the victory despite allowing Alta Loma to score five runs in the fifth inning capped by a grand slam.
Dominic Svagdis earned the win for the Tartans. He surrendered zero runs on zero hits over one inning, walking one. James Perone threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Bryce Blanset started the game for Glendora but struggled with control. He went four and two-thirds innings, allowing six runs on three hits and striking out one.
Cole Fishman got the Tartans on the board with a bases clearing three-run double in the third inning.
In the sixth inning, Tanner West started the rally when he was hit by the pitch. A.J. Salazar proceeded to knock him in with a triple. Carson Mounce cashed Salazar in with another clutch single.
West, Salazar, Jackson, Shane Mion, Mounce, Aidan Boulle, and Fishman each collected one hit to lead Glendora Tartans Freshman. Jackson and Fishman had three RBI’s each.
