Even though Glendora collected seven hits to Edison’s six, they still fell 9-0 on Monday
as the Freshmen struggled to cash in any of their 10 baserunners and had a tough time defensively containing Edison, giving up nine runs.
One bright spot for Glendora was the strong game on the mound by J.J. Nolan who struck out 8 in 5 innings. Nolan was saddled with the loss though when the Tartan defense went home early and the run production was nowhere to be found.
Glendora racked up seven hits. Joe Gilkeson and Raymond Cepeda-Cintra each managed multiple hits for the Freshmen with two a piece. Ethan Tapia was on base three times with a single and twice hit by the pitch. Brett Hunt ended the Edison inning explosion by retiring the batters with three strikeouts.
