Glendora defeated Alhambra high school 12-3 on Saturday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at three with the Tartans batting in the bottom of the fifth when Caleb Lambertson’s sac fly scored one run for the Freshman.
Glendora scored six runs in the sixth inning. Tartans batters contributing to the big inning included Matthew Jordan, Lambertson, Mizuki Williamson, Matthew Martinez, and Ryan McNamara, who all drove in runs.
Jordan Garrison earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for Glendora. The righthander lasted three innings, allowing zero hits and two unearned runs while striking out six and walking zero. Frankie Del Real threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen striking out two.
Evan Jamison started the game for the Tartans. The pitcher allowed two hits and one run over three innings, striking out four and walking five.
Glendora racked up 13 hits in the game. Lambertson, Garrett Dykstra, Williamson, and Jordan each managed multiple hits for the Tartans. Lambertson led the Freshmen with three hits in three at bats.
